Our dental and administrative assistants and hygienists are licensed professionals who pride themselves on staying on the cutting edge of dentistry and patient care. They are excited about what they are doing, have high standards of quality and integrity, and are motivated to achieve the best results for our family of patients.
Our dedicated and motivated staff has one primary goal—your utmost comfort and care. We feel it’s important that you understand the treatment that you’ll be receiving so that you can relax during the procedure. Our staff is eager to answer any questions regarding your dental care. Jordan O'Shea, Registered Dental Hygienist
Jordan was born and raised in Miramichi New Brunswick. At the completion of her high school diploma in 2006 she attended Oulton College, and graduated as a Certified Level II Dental Assistant. With dental hygiene as her ultimate goal, Jordan furthered her studies the following year and graduated as a Registered Dental Hygienist in 2009 from Oulton College. Immediately following graduation she began her career in general dentistry until 2011, when she moved to Saint John and joined our team. In 2013, she furthered her scope of practice and completed the local anesthetic certification course through Dalhousie University. Jordan truly enjoys educating our patients on overall good oral care, as well as being an active team member in our office. She enjoys the many opportunities to attend both local and international continuing education courses. Jordan is an active member of the CDHA, NBDHA and NBCDH. In her free time you will find her with her husband Jared, daughter Everly, and son Benny.
Courtney Roderick, Administrative Assistant
Courtney graduated from Kennebecasis Valley High School in 2005. After high school she attended the Dental Assistants Academy of New Brunswick and graduated as a Certified Level II Dental Assistant in the year 2006. She later continued with her education at NBCC and completed her Office Administrative Course in 2012. She has been actively working with many aspects of Dentistry for the past 12 years. Courtney joined our team in 2018 as Dr. MacDonald's Administrative Assistant where she continues to enhance her skills in our progressive Periodontal Clinic. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband and son Ryker.
Jenna Somerville, Dental Assistant
Jenna grew up in Nauwigewauk where she graduated from Hampton High School in 2003. She later attended the Dental Assistants College of Saint John where she received her diploma and license as a Level II Dental Assistant in 2012. Jenna immediately joined the MacDonald Periodontics team in 2012 and is currently Dr MacDonald's senior surgical assistant. Away from the office Jenna enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.
Kayla Soucy, Dental Assistant
Kayla graduated from Rothesay High School in 2011 and completed her Level II dental assistants certification in 2015 from the Saint John Dental Assistants College. Kayla joined the MacDonald Periodontics team in the summer of 2019. In her personal time she enjoys spending time with family, going on adventures and making memories with her husband Kyle and son Liam.
Kiera Pearce, Administrative Assistant
Kiera attended HJ Cody High School in Sylvan Lake, Alberta. After graduation she moved back home to Saint John and attended NBCC. Kiera joined our team in 2021 as Dr MacDonalds Administrative Assistant where she appreciates helping patients and learning new skills in our progressive clinic. Away from the office, she enjoys playing soccer, being outside and most importantly spending time with her son Kai and Fiancé Brett.
